Project Overview:
Pune Cantonment Board and Southern Command (Army) had 5acres of land in the heart of the city which was categorized as a waste land and the brief was to convert it into usable public space and mitigate the foul smell of Nalla flowing through it.
Challenges:
Treat the Nalla organically,
Existing huge banyan trees,
Limited budget.
Solution:
Providing cascading water filtration, Meandering pathways around the huge banyan trees, Installation of huge natural looking waterbody, Smart use of Shahabad and murrum with extensive use of ground covers, ensuring economics as per budget.
Project Timeline:
- 6 weeks for designing .6 months for execution.
